Nokia recently announced the launch of Asha 308 and 309 models. Symbian may not be an ideal platform for smartphones but it can be a viable one for basic model phones. The Nokia Asha 308 is a touchscreen enabled basic model phone with many entry level features. The phone has Symbian Series 40 OS as its operating platform.
The Asha 308 offers many features sought after by a low end mobile user. What I found more convincing is the fact that the basic features are combined with the touchscreen facility to provide more benefit to the user.
